Tisamystery leads Beckwith Star over the last

Henry De Bromhead saddled the first two home in the Jog For Jockeys Handicap Chase at Wexford as Beckwith Star got up late to deny stablemate Tisamystery in a cracking finish to the two mile contest.
It was latter who was more assured with his jumping throughout and a slick leap at the last appeared to have put matters to bed.
However, he soon began to tie up on the run-in and 5-2 favourite Beckwith Star, who was much sharper for his reappearance run at Punchestown, was able to conjure up one final effort to prevail by a short-head.< Last Encounter could be headed to better things after putting on a something of a show when running out a most convincing winner of the Mount Leinster Maiden Hurdle.
The heavily-backed 1-1 favourite was making his first appearance over hurdles since chasing home the classy Modem at Navan in December and he looked a smart prospect in the making here, travelling powerfully before stretching 15 lengths clear of his rivals.
Winning rider Danny Mullins completed a quickfire double aboard Balinaboola Prince in the next race on the card, the Hen & Stag Parties At Wexford Racecourse Maiden Hurdle, but was made to work much harder on this occasion.
The 9-4 favourite came into this in good form having finished second at Tramore recently but had to dig very deep here, doing battle with Grangeclare Rosa on the run-in before just getting the better of things by a short-head.
Mullins' night was to get even better as Moonunderwater (11-2) obliged in the Phelim Byrne Seasuir At Wexford Racecourse Handicap Hurdle, running out a four and three quarter length winner.
The Courtown Mares Beginners Chase kicked off proceedings and I'm All You Need (5-2 fav) made an impressive start to her chasing career, jumping with aplomb on the way to an easy six length success.< Tempo Mac was unable to extend his winning run when finding Lilly The Lioness (11-1) two and a half lengths too strong in the Wellingtonbridge Handicap Hurdle.
