Review tramore 13th Aug
Gary Carroll was in terrific form as he adopted front-running tactics to post a double on Jazz Girl and Solaras Exhibition at Tramore.
The market for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden suggested it was a match between Crystal Highness who was sent off the odds-on favourite, and Jazz Girl, and these two had it between them from some way out.
Carroll had Andy Oliver's charge (13-8) in front from the off and she responded well to every urging to beat off Crystal Highness by two and a half lengths.
The jockey repeated the trick on the Seamus Fahey-trained Solaras Exhibition (11-2) in the Irish Daily Star Best For Racing Handicap.
The three-year-old, second in a maiden hurdle at the track on Thursday, skipped round the tight circuit and powered away in the final furlong to beat favourite Regal Tramp by five and a half lengths.
Danny Grant was another in double form, striking on two course and distance winners beginning with Eoin Doyle's 11-2 shot Beliar in a thrilling finish to the Style Evening At Tramore Races Claiming Race.
The jockey played his hand late on the eight-year-old, who surged to the front in the final furlong and edged out Quai Du Roi by a neck.
Grant adopted different tactics on the Pat Flynn-trained Final Flashback (7-4 favourite) in the Madra Dog Foods Handicap, leading a long way out and clearing away to score by 14 lengths.
It was the six-year-old's first victory since he won on the same card last year, when he took the claimer over the trip.
Paul McEnery's Regresa A Mi (7-1), who broke her duck at Sligo last time, followed up by leading for the whole of the two miles of the London Southend Airport Handicap under Chris Hayes to win by a length and three-quarters.
