Review tipperary 19th May
< Bahrain Storm made it third time lucky over fences with a solid performance in the Glenview And Rathbarry Studs Beginners Chase at Tipperary.
The former Galway Hurdle hero travelled sweetly for David Casey and drew ahead of long-time leader Derinlaur at the second-last fence.
A slightly clumsy leap at the final fence allowed Derinlaur to have one last crack at Bahrain Storm, but the 7-4 favourite looked to have a lilttle up his sleeve in scoring by a length and three-quaters.< Blackwell Synergy created a 33-1 upset in the opening Point-to-Point Evening At Tipperary Maiden Hurdle.< Loch Long looked to have stolen a march approaching the second last, but John Supple's newcomer kept finding more for Tom Doyle, eventually running out a three and a half-length winner.< One For Joules produced a dramatic upturn in form to turn the tables on Worldly Wise and land the first division of the Glenview and Rathbarry Studs Handicap Hurdle.
Shark Hanlon 's 7-1 shot, 20 lengths behind Worldly Wise at Limerick last time, was eased into the lead after the home turn by Danny Mullins, and skipped clear of her old rival to score by three and a half lengths.
Eoin Doyle and Shane Jackson landed the second division with Vinnes Friend (16-1), finishing to good effect to see off Lady Chatterbox by a length and a quarter.
With favourite Tommy Turkle proving disappointing in the Portrait Gallery Kilfeacle Stud Handicap Chase, it was left to Hot Friend to run out a commanding winner.
There were plenty in with chances on the home turn, but Hot Friend (6-1) kept ahead of them all, finishing strongly under Philip Enright to beat Kilbane River by three lengths.
John Walsh's Sligo Publican (8-1) stayed on well to take the p2p.ie Mares Point-To & ndash;Point INH Flat Race, while the Kedrah House Stud 'Well Chosen' Novice Hunters Chase went to Dermot Weld's 6-4 favourite Merchant Royal
