< Off The Charts (7-2 favourite) landed the richest race on the Thurles card, the Thurles Handicap Hurdle.

Dessie Hughes' charge was bidding to follow up a course success last month, and was travelling best under Mark Walsh entering the home straight.< Kylecrue put up stiff resistance close home, but Off The Charts was too strong, scoring by three-quarters of a length.

The winner's owner JP McManus made it a double when Getoutwhenyoucan (7-2) struck in his colours in the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle under Ger Fox.

Charles Byrnes' Synchronicity got off the mark over timber with a resolute display in the thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle.

The 2-1 favourite had been luckless in seven previous attempts, but stayed on determinedly under Davy Russell to beat Macnicholson by half a length.

Russell and Byrnes briefly looked like bagging a double when Kerrieonvic edged ahead at the last in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.

However, Willie Mullins' Don Poli (4-5 favourite), carrying the colours of Russell's former employers Gigginstown House Stud, found more on the run-in under Bryan Cooper to score by half a length.< Blazing Sonnet opened her account over fences at the fifth attempt when battling to victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.

Andrew Leigh was happy to take the lead four out on the 5-2 favourite, though she appeared to have challengers queueing up behind at the second-last fence.

She boxed on admirably, though, keeping Kilcarry Bridge a length and a half at bay.< Milestone Miss produced a withering late run to reel in long-time leader Killtilane Rose in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase.

David Splaine looked to have timed it right on the pacesetter, but Martin Burke got a good tune out of Milestone Miss (11-1) in the home straight, getting up late to score by a length and a half.
