Review navan 9th Jun
< Mizani looks capable of making an impact in a higher sphere after his resounding success in the feature Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race at Navan.
Mick Halford's three-year-old, who runs in the colours of the Aga Khan, came into the contest on the back of a narrow victory over another of the owner's horses, Handazan, who was an eight-length winner at Leopardstown on Friday night.
Shane Foley settled the even-money favourite behind Swerve for much of the mile trip and got a great response when he pressed the button two furlongs out as the colt stretched clear to beat Ronan's Bay by eight and a half lengths.
Foley doubled up when the Harry Rogers-trained Cave Artist (6-1) responded well to his driving to short-head Balladiene in an exciting three-way finish to the Racing Again June 15th Handicap.
Rogers was completing a double, too, following the victory of top-weight Allegra Tak (9-2 co-favourite) in the Meath Apprentice Handicap. She led all the way under Marc Monaghan and scooted clear to score by three and three-quarter lengths.
Andrew Oliver looks to have a nice juvenile on his hands judged by the way Sendmylovetorose (16-1) went clear to win the Lynn Lodge Stud EBF Median Auction Maiden.< Strapless travelled well and hit the front before the final furlong, but Colm O'Donoghue swept past on Sendmylovetorose and the newcomer quickened away to score by five and a half lengths.
Gavin Cromwell's Balrath Hope (3-1) was always prominent in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden and travelled best down the straight before running on strongly to win by three lengths under Declan McDonogh.
Pat Flynn's filly Faleena (9-1) has run some decent races in defeat and finally made the breakthrough in the Trim Handicap, hitting the front heading to the final quarter-mile and sticking on well to win by half a length under Danny Grant.
