Review listowel 13th Sep
< Swamp Fox turned a supposedly competitive Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Hurdle into a procession at Listowel.
Although he hadn't been seen since winning twice in the space of a week on the level in July, fitness clearly wasn't an issue for the Joe Murphy-trained 9-2 chance because David Mullins rode an aggressive race on him.
He looked in trouble when the pack closed up as they raced towards the second-last flight, but Swamp Fox had plenty more to give and cleared right away again to account for Cradle Mountain by an impressive 11 lengths.
Grade Two-winning hurdler Ball D'Arc could only manage second on his fencing bow in the John F. McGuire Beginners Chase.
The prize went to Henry de Bromhead's Three Stars (9-2), who was disappointing on his own chasing debut at Tramore in June but showed the benefit of that experience by inflicting a three-length defeat on Ball D'Arc.< Galkina stepped forward markedly from her moderate debut to strike in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden.
The Tommy Stack-trained 11-2 shot responded well to Wayne Lordan's urgings when put under pressure by Pink Jeanie and crossed the line three and a quarter lengths to the good.
Lordan followed up when Gentil J broke her duck in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
The 7-2 chance was produced with her challenge a furlong from home and once she headed long-time leader End Play she pulled two and a quarter lengths clear.< Escape Clause (10-1) made a victorious start to his career in the Jet O'Carroll Memorial EBF Maiden, beating Tommy Hallinan by two and a half lengths, with market princiapls Ensign and Cascavelle disappointing.
Andrew Breslin was seen to good effect to land the Brandon Hotel Handicap on Stamp Of Authority (14-1), while Willie Mullins' newcomer Bargy Lady ran right away with the Kerry Petroleum Flat Race.
