Review leopardstown 30th Jun
Aidan O'Brien's Tenth Star broke his duck in no uncertain terms in the Listed Golden Fleece Stakes at Leopardstown.
Sent off at just 4-9 to account for his two Jim Bolger-trained rivals, he was settled in last before Joseph O'Brien eased him into contention inside the final quarter-mile.
The young jockey didn't have to get too serious for his mount to follow in the hoofprints of the yard's 2010 winner Zoffany, as he beat Whip Rule by four easy lengths.
O'Brien senior also tasted success when Devotion (5-2) put her best foot forward in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
The daughter of Dylan Thomas had let down favourite-backers at this venue but ridden with more restraint by Seamie Heffernan, she pounced in the final furlong to account for Sophies Echo by a length and a quarter.
O'Brien had to settle for second when his President Lincoln couldn't quite reel in Newlands Princess (13-2) in the Bulmers Live Handicap, while Jim Bolger's Global Recovery took the CROSS Charity Handicap.< Marvada was fourth in a warm Curragh handicap only last weekend but she didn't show any fatigue as she recorded a length-and-three-quarter triumph in the jogforjockeys.ie Fillies Race.
The front-running Moonlit Garden appeared to have stolen a winning break a furlong and a half from the finish but she began to tread water and was collared by the 11-4 winner.
Favourite Alanza got going too late but caught the eye by staying on strongly into third.
Ben Curtis brought Copper Dock with a well-delivered challenge to claim the spoils in the Cathy Davey Handicap.
Tom McCourt's 8-1 chance hadn't won for over 18 months but proved his well-being with a third at the Curragh at the beginning of June, and he built on that by inflicting a three-quarter-length defeat on Akasaka
