< Convergence saw off all rivals from the front to land the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown.
Ger Lyons' 11-2 chance was last seen finishing down the field in the Irish 2000 Guineas but was quickly to the fore in this Group Three, though favourite Tested loomed up as a real threat a furlong out.
Convergence answered every urging from Gary Carroll close home, though, tenaciously landing the spoils by a neck.
That was the second leg of a double for Lyons, who had struck earlier when Cape Wolfe made light of top weight in the Leopardstown Summer Music And Racing Festival Handicap.
The 7-2 chance was always well placed under Colin Keane and reeled in long-time leader Mzuri before holding the fast finish of Lily's Rainbow by a length.< Painted Cliffs looks one of a pair of smart sorts who fought out the finish of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
Aidan O'Brien's 9-4 chance swept to the front on the turn under Donnacha O'Brien, and though Sikarandabad gave chase in the closing stages, Painted Cliffs was a length and a quarter too good, with the pair miles clear of the rest.< Catalyst had to settle for second on her third straight start as her brave effort from the front was foiled by Private Paradise in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
David Wachman's 9-2 chance had to pull out all the stops under Billy Lee, eventually reeling in Catalyst to score by a short head.< Vocal Heir (10-1) just got the better of Shabra Emperor to land the 'The Hot Sprockets' Handicap for jockey Rory Cleary and trainer Brendan Duke.
Jim Bolger struck when Selskar Abbey (9-4 favourite) landed the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap under Ronan Whelan, while the Follow Leopardstown On Facebook (QR) Maiden went to the John Oxx-trained Awesome Star (4-9 favourite) under Katie Walsh.
