Dermot Weld resumed his domination of the Listed Challenge Stakes at Leopardstown when Pale Mimosa won in good style.

Weld had won the race for five years in a row before missing out last year, but his even-money favourite was always in command after tracking the pacesetting Manalapan

Manalapan stuck to his task bravely, but Pat Smullen drove Pale Mimosa into the lead over a furlong out and she ran on well to score, giving the trainer and jockey a double.

The double started when Initial just held on in a thrilling finish to the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

The 6-5 favourite looked to have stolen a march on his rivals when pulling clear a furlong out, but newcomer Hunt flew home at the finish, going down by just a nose.< Chance To Dance carried top weight to victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Nasrullah' Handicap.

Kevin Manning was patient aboard the Jim Bolger-trined 5-1 chance, before making eye-catching headway to lead a furlong out.

Favourite Magnolia Beach squeezed through on the inside rail and finished fast once in the clear, but Chance to Dance was half a length too strong.< Raydara looked a filly with a bright future when making all in the Irish Stallion EBF Median Auction Maiden.

Second on her debut at the Curragh, Mick Halford's 4-6 favourite evidently benefited from that outing, as she was not hard pressed to fend off the fast-finishing Sacrificial by two and three-quarter lengths.

Ger Lyons' Some Spirit ran out an impressive winner of the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show Maiden.

Streaking clear in the home straight under Colin Keane, the 5-1 chance left odds-on favourite Rightway toiling six lengths behind.

Apprentice jockey Gary Halpin was in double-winning form, first squeezing The Dancing Lord (8-1) between horses to land the kieranoconnellracing.com Anniversary Handicap, then guiding Castle Of Argh (2-1 favourite) to victory in the 'Stunning' Apprentice Handicap.
