Bryan Cooper rode a treble for Dessie Hughes at Kilbeggan highlighted by the victory of Action Master in a thrilling finish to the Kieran Kelly Memorial Beginners Chase.
The five-year-old (3-1) was coming off a poor run in the Galway Hurdle for his first outing over fences, but has bags of ability even though he is not the easiest of rides.
Cooper was going well two out, but was at pains not to ask too many questions of the enigmatic character and was rewarded as he nudged away to get home by a short head from the favourite Traffic Article
The jockey and trainer initiated their treble when the well-backed Rockofinspiration (2-1) landed the Betpack Maiden Hurdle despite the presence of the odds-on God's County
Cooper took it up four out and held outsider All There by a cosy half-length, with God's County close up in third after having every chance.
The partnership's other victory came when Eyre Apparent (6-4 favourite) led all the way in the Follow Kilbeggan On Facebook Maiden Hurdle and fought off the attentions of Upthecats by a length and a half.
Cooper almost made it a personal four in the Hackett's Bookmakers Handicap Chase, but Francis Du Mesnil could not claw back the Niall Madden-trained Wins Now (16-1), who won by two and a half lengths under 'Slippers' Madden.
Ken Condon's Table Forty Six got up on the run-in to land a dramatic renewal of the Mullingar Mares Novice Hurdle, in which Black Rock Lake fell when in front at the second-last.
That left Shabra Charity at the head of affairs, but she was run down by Table Forty Six (8-1) and favourite Annie Other with the former driven past by Eddie O'Connell to score by three-quarters of a length.
John Carr's Chapter Eleven (8-1) led three out in the Joe Cooney Memorial Handicap Hurdle and ran on strongly under Ian McCarthy to take the prize by three lengths from Riotman
