Review kilbeggan 2nd Sep
< London Bridge proved a class apart from his opponents in the Westmeath Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Paul Carberry was at his patient best on Noel Meade's 6/4 favourite and still had four rivals in front of him approaching the home turn.
But he made effortless headway to take up the running at the final flight and he didn't have to come out of third gear to see off the Gordon Elliott pair of Trendelenburg and Brave Beauty by a comfortable three lengths.
The decision to save Annie Other for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle reaped reward when she registered a length-and-a-quarter success.
The five-year-old, who was pulled out of a race at Clonmel on Thursday evening, travelled strongly throughout and headed fellow 7/4 joint-favourite Coscorrig on the run to two out.< Spring Hawk tried to go with her, while Coscorrig battled better than she did at Killarney last week, but Annie Other held too many guns and prevailed for Pat and Jack Doyle.
Davy Russell's hot streak continued when he drove Sister Steve home in the Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle.
Russell, who rode a hat-trick at Clonmel yesterday, brought the 11/4 market leader to challenge between horses and she finished off her race well to account for Tirmoyle by a length and a half.< Never A Secret (8/1) registered her first victory over jumps in the Moate Handicap Hurdle.
Davy Condon forced his way through a gap against the rails shortly before the straight and although Loughnagall emerged as a challenger, he could never quite get close enough to truly threaten the length-and-three-quarter winner.
Condon supplemented that triumph when Granaruid (3/1 joint-favourite) took the Midland Breeders Supporting Kilbeggan Beginners Chase for in-form trainer Mick Halford, while Ahorsecalledmolly defied top weight to rattle up the hat-trick in the Tullamore Handicap Chase.
