Declan McDonogh booted home a treble at Gowran Park on Wednesday evening, winning the last three races on the card.

McDonogh steered a pair of John Oxx-trained runners to success and struck in the Live Music After Racing Saturday September 16th Maiden for Willie Mullins.

He got the ball rolling in the Thomastown Maiden courtesy of Upgraded (8-1), who won what looked a deep renewal just four days after her Navan debut.

The daughter of Acclamation travelled into contention stylishly and put three lengths between herself and Sometimes A Fox at the line.< Birds Of Prey (7-2 favourite) then obliged in the Join Us September 16th Handicap.

Oxx's three-year-old appreciated the step up in trip over the same course and distance last month and readily exploited a mark of 85 on his handicap debut.

McDonogh was not done there, as he completed a three-timer when guiding Iolani (10-1) to a smooth success in the aforementioned finale for the champion jumps trainer.

The lightly-raced Sorelle Delle Rose (3-1) had struggled to confirm the promise of her Naas win earlier this year in recent starts at Cork and Killarney, but the Dermot Weld-trained daughter of Dark Angel could have been called the winner of the Gowran Park Handicap a long way out under Pat Smullen.

There was plenty of market support for Aidan O'Brien's Madrid in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden but it was stable companion and fellow Galileo colt Family Tree (5-1) who landed the spoils.

Sporting a tongue tie on debut, Seamie Heffernan 's mount showed signs of greenness throughout before the penny dropped inside the final two furlongs and he beat Meagher's Flag by three-quarters of a length.

Action got underway at 4.35 with the Gowran Park Fillies Claiming Race in which the Sheila Lavery-trained Empress Lyla (9-4 favourite) was given an inspired front-running ride by Gary Carroll.

The Kilkenny Apprentice Handicap went the way of 4-1 joint-favourite True Companion representing the trainer/jockey combination of Adrian Joyce and Oisin Orr.
