< Legatissimo advertised her Guineas claims with an authoritative success in the Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes at Gowran Park.
David Wachman's filly finished fourth on her seasonal reappearance in the Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial a fortnight ago and showed the benefit of that outing as she travelled strongly into contention two furlongs out.
The Danehill Dancer filly proved too strong for Aidan O'Brien's Wedding Vow at the finish as she galloped three and three-quarter lengths clear in fine style.< Carla Bianca was sent off 4-5favourite for the Listed feature but proved disappointing as she was denied third place by Euphrasia < Duchess Andorra made a winning start for Johnny Murtagh in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Handicap.
A winner in St Moritz on her last outing for Joanna Morgan, the four-year-old filly powered past pace-setter Refusetolisten up the home straight for an impressive two-and-a-quarter-length triumph over Sparkle Factor < Variable was all the rage to make a winning debut in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden but had to play second fiddle to Hot Sauce
The 1-2 favourite held every chance turning for home but looked a little green as the more experience winner knuckled down well to spring an 18-1 surprise with a length and a quarter to spare.
The joint-top weights were the first two home in the Family Fun Day June 21st At Gowran Park Handicap as Hilary pulled four and a half lengths clear of Like A Prayer < Zafilani (7-4j) got back on the winning trail under Pat Smullen with a cosy half-length victory over Royal Navy Ship in the Golf Societies Welcome Race
That completed a double for Smullen who gave Not A Bad Oul Day (6-1fav) a fine front-running ride in the Ladies Day June 20th At Gowran Park Handicap to score by three and a half lengths from Tanneron < Aerialist (9-4) denied Ardhoomey by a head to land the opening Flat Breeze Up Sale At Gowran Park May 21st & 22nd 2015 Maiden.
