< Brooch gave Pat Smullen his 100th winner of the season when she maintained her unbeaten record the Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes, the feature race at Gowran on Sunday.
Following impressive wins at Galway and Killarney, the three-year-old daughter of Empire Maker was sent off 11-8 favourite for the Group Three event and had to work hard to reel in Regardez
Ralph Beckett's English raider attempted to make all under Joseph O'Brien and it looked like they might succeed when holding the initial challenge of Dermot Weld's runner.
However, the winner found a bit more in the final furlong and got up by half a length.
Weld and Smullen struck earlier in the afternoon with Intransive in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. (C & G) Maiden.
Given a fine front-running ride, the Dansili colt always looked in control and the 9-2 chance came home two lengths clear of Aidan O'Brien's Aloft
O'Brien book-ended the card with winners, starting with Together Forever who got off the mark at the fourth attempt with the minimum of fuss in the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.
Setting a clear standard on the form book, Galileo filly was sent off 8-13 favourite and cruised to a five-length victory over Rivers Of Babylon
The Ballydoyle handler completed a double in the closing gowranpark.ie Rated Race courtesy of Quartz who was ridden by O'Brien's son Donnacha for a facile six-length verdict over Coolfighter
Having found one too good on her debut at Killarney, Salariaq (9-4) went one better in the Powerstown Stud Maiden.
Tommy Stack's filly took it up two furlongs from home and proceeded to pull two lengths clear of Perishing, with 13-8 favourite Tirghra in third.< Succeed And Excel held Merry Mast by half a length to justify 9-2 favouritism the first division of the Live Music After Racing Handicap, while the second instalment saw Zelos Dream (8-1) prove three-quarters of a length too good for Corker Hill
Gary Halpin partnered Bogardus (11-2) to victory in the Gowran Golf Memberships For
