Review galway 3rd Aug
< Tigris River denied the gallant Swamp Fox in a thrilling finish to the Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap.
Just three days on from finishing second in the amateurs' race on the level here, Swamp Fox was never too far from the pace and jumped to the front at the last.
Joseph O'Brien's 5-1 shot Tigris River was hot on his heels, however, and Barry Geraghty threw everything at him to get him up by a neck in the shadow of the post. Airlie Beach was third.< Rathvinden continued to make up for lost time with a decisive success in the Grade Three Guinness Open Gate Brewery Novice Chase.
Restricted to just three outings since his third to Faugheen at the 2014 Cheltenham Festival, Willie Mullins' 7-2 joint-favourite took the lead off Potters Point after jumping the last and powered five lengths clear under Paul Townend.
Mullins and Townend also appeared to have the Guinness Novice Hurdle in the bag when Robin Des Foret slipped his field approaching the second-last.
He began to tread water after the last, though, and was collared by Oakly (12-1), who was fourth to Robin Des Foret at Roscommon last month but reversed the form to win by half a length.< Music Box gained revenge on last month's Killarney conqueror Drumfad Bay in the Listed Arthur Guinness Irish EBF Corrib Fillies Stakes.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained 4-1 joint-favourite struck for home early in the straight and inflicted a length-and-a-half defeat on her rival in the hands of Donnacha O'Brien.< Remarkable Lady (16-1) struck for the third time in her last four appearances when denying gallant veteran Cairdiuil by a length and a half in the Guinness Draught Handicap.
Tigris River's stablemate Tesseract (7-1) made it third-time lucky over fences with a gritty display in the Guinness Galway Gold Beginners Chase, while 8-1 shot Andratx took the Guinness Harp Handicap and Dayna Moss won the Guinness West Indies Porter Flat Race.
