Review fairyhouse 7th Apr
David Casey showed no ill-effects from his crashing fall on Monday to guide Boulavogue to victory in the Ballybin Hurdle on the final day of the Fairyhouse jamboree.
Casey had not ridden since being thrown from An Cathaoir Mor two days ago but was quick to send Charlie Swan's 4-1 chance to the front in the three-mile contest.
After relinquishing his lead to Seeability on the back straight, Boulavogue took up the running again on turning for home and kept up the gallop to beat favourite Prince Erik by four and a half lengths.
Favourite backers barely had a moment's worry in the Broad Meadow Beginners Chase as 8-11 chance Askmeroe cantered to victory.
Ruby Walsh had Tony Martin's charge to the fore for the entire race, and he opened up a yawning 21-length gap over South Liberties at the line.
Peter Colville's Day Of Destiny moved smoothly into contention two out before streaking clear in the Ballyhack Maiden Hurdle.
Plenty had chances on the turn for home, but none had an answer to the Philip Enright-ridden 10-1 chance, who sneaked up the inner before going on to score by eight lengths from Yeomanry
After a steady early gallop in the Ratoath Maiden Hurdle, Benash (5-1) showed the sprightliest turn of foot to land the spoils under Andrew McNamara, coming home four lengths ahead of Johnnyofcourse < Tulachsarain continued his impressive recent form when scoring under Rules for the first time in the Fegentri World Championships (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle.
A winner between the flags recently, the 8-1 chance found an extra gear before the last under Paul Power, and held on well to win by half a length from Cochise < Rock Diplomat (7-2) ended a three-year losing run when charging home under Robbie Power to land the Royal County Handicap Chase by four lengths from Lydon House
