A successful afternoon for favourite-backers at Fairyhouse began when Alelchi Inois made all in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle at odds of 11-10.
Ruby Walsh's mount was allowed to bowl along in front and faced only minor resistance en route to success, not having to come off the bridle until after the final flight.< Somethingwonderful threatened to mount a challenge around the bend, but his effort petered out, leaving Aerlite Supreme to plug on admirably to reduce the winning margin to a well-held length and three-quarters.< College Boy was strongly backed in the Fairyhouse Premier Jump Racing Weekend Handicap Hurdle, and duly obliged, producing a well-timed challenge to wear down Bahati Boy by a length and three-quarters.< Fire Belt (10-1) had plenty of experience to call upon in the Follow Fairyhouse On Twitter Maiden Hurdle and with three in with a chance at the last, he stuck his neck out well to account for Captainofthefleet by a length.< Flying Windsor was the only other winner to belie double-figure odds, returning from 207 days off in the Ratoath Handicap Chase to score at 20-1 in a three-and-a-quarter-length victory.< Mr Fiftyone (13-8) prevailed by a flattering 10 lengths in a dramatic finish to the fairyhouse.ie Maiden Hurdle, when Giantofaman took close attendance behind the leader and appeared to be full of running, only to repeat his enigmatic habit of wandering violently in the dying stages, throwing his chance away in the process.
His unlucky rider Bryan Cooper made up for that defeat on joint-favourite Father Jack (9-2), though, staying on strongly to prevail by three and a half lengths from Redclue in the Fairyhouse Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle.< Los Amigos (7-2) closed the card with victory in a thrilling finish, beating favourite Grand Jesture who had travelled sweetly into the Bobbyjo Bistro At Fairyhouse Beginners Chase, by a length.
