Review fairyhouse 17th Apr
Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott were responsible for all seven runners in the Grade Two Boylesports Juvenile Hurdle at Fairyhouse and it was the reigning champion trainer who landed the spoils with Saglawy
The pick of Mullins' quartet in the betting and sent off the 13-8 favourite, Saglawy was sent straight to the front by Paul Townend.
Elliott's Mitchouka loomed as the main danger on the home turn, but Saglawy was game in front and kept on to win by two and a half lengths.
Mullins made it a double when Low Sun swooped late to land the RYBO Handicap Hurdle.
One of 10 runners in the field for Mullins, the 25-1 chance had a couple of rivals ahead of him approaching the last, but Katie O'Farrell squeezed up the inside to run down Yaha Fizz and score by two and a quarter lengths.
A fantastic day for O'Farrell continued when she completed a double on the card aboard Flemenstorm in the Ratoath Pharmacy Ladies National Handicap Chase.
The Edward Cawley-trained 13-2 chance found plenty for his in-form partner as she kept Elliott's Sunsetstorise three lengths at bay.< Youcantcallherthat (12-1) gave trainer/jockey Denis Hogan a welcome Pattern-race winner when she landed the Grade Three John And Chich Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase.
Tom Gibney's 10-1 chance Agent Boru got the better of Speak Easy going to the last in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle Series Final, winning by three lengths under Jonathan Moore.
Elliott sparked a run of four seconds in the opening Mongey Communications Beginners Chase as his De Plotting Shed was collared close home by 80-1 outsider Screaming Colours trained by William Durkan and ridden by Roger Loughran.
Elliott ended his frustrating day with Listed honours when Nina Carberry guided Tintangle (3-1 favourite) to victory in the Lauro At Hayes Stud Irish EBF Total Enjoyment Mares Flat Race, while the Door And Floor Centre Supporting Meath GAA Joseph R. O'Reilly Hunters Chase went to 5-4 market leader Sizing Coal
