Review fairyhouse 10th Jul
< Rose Bonheur swooped fast and late under Declan McDonogh to land the feature Belgrave Stakes at Fairyhouse.
Kevin Prendergast's smart filly didn't break well and was shuffled to the rear of the field in the early stages of the six-furlong Listed contest.
But the 11-4 favourite found a nice gap in the straight and burst through to collar Katla in the dying strides to win by half a length, with Rock Jock a further half-length away in third.
It completed a double for the trainer as well as owner Lady O'Reilly after Bahama Spirit (10-1) showed plenty of pace to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
Having her third run, she was soon in front in the hands of Samantha Bell and had an untroubled passage as nothing threatened her. She passed the post a cosy three-quarters of a length ahead of Captain Cullen
Andrew Oliver's filly Flowers Of Spring (11-2) continued her rise through the ranks with a fine victory in the hands of Kevin Manning in the Value Packages At Fairyhouse Race.
A winner off a mark of 61 in October, she was off 94 here and after stretching clear in the final furlong she was chased down by Steps To Freedom but finished half a length in front.
David Wachman's filly Gonebeyondthemoon (5-2) got off the mark with an easy victory under Wayne Lordan in the jogforjockeys.ie Maiden, sweeping ahead in the final furlong and holding Diamond Daze by two lengths.
Colm O'Donoghue produced the David Marnane-trained Jamesie (3-1 favourite) with a strong run to lead a furlong out and take the Family Funday Handicap by a length, despite a 4lb higher rating for his Tipperary win last month.
Fran Berry grabbed the Children Under 16 Are Free Handicap in the shadow of the post on John Geoghegan's Prince Of Fashion (10-1), who nailed Umindme by a neck.
