Review dundalk 2nd Feb
< Jon Ess dug deep in the closing stages to deny Togoville in the Parkview Provisions Handicap at Dundalk.
Gallant grey Togoville cut out the running and was still in there fighting entering the final furlong, despite being pressured by Beach Bar for much of the straight, with Jon Ess snapping at their heels.
As the post loomed, Billy Lee asked one more question of Conor O'Dwyer's 3-1 favourite Jon Ess and he responded to get up by half a length.< Mandarin Monarch bounced back to form in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Rated Race.
The Andrew McNamara-trained 7-1 shot was a let-down when sent off joint-favourite for a handicap over course and distance last month, but this was much more like it as he swooped inside the final half-furlong to account for outsider Wrap Star by three quarters of a length.
Jockey Denis Linehan followed up on Glenmoore (6-1) in the Racing Post Handicap.< Adaliya (5-1) benefited from a positive Conor Hoban ride in the Ashbrook Foods Handicap.
Starting in her first handicap after breaking through over course and distance in December, Michael Halford's filly put the pace to the race and Hoban kept something up his sleeve because she pulled out more when challenged by War Hero to prevail by a length.< Catchy Lass won the Dundalk Business Club 2018 Claiming Race 12 months ago and repeated the feat, although she had to pull out all the stops to defeat fellow veteran Six Silver Lane by a short head as the 9-4 favourite.< Downdraft (10-11) landed the odds in the Ready Mixed Concrete Maiden for Joseph and Donnacha O'Brien.
Dropped back to seven furlongs after offering encouragement in a couple of outings over a mile, the son of Camelot kicked for home a couple of furlongs out and kept going to see off Cockalorum by a length and a quarter.< Texas Radio (8-1) took the Meat Boutique Handicap (Div 1), while 4-1 favourite Pari Passu landed division two.
