< Dolce N Karama finally got his head in front where it mattered in the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Rated Race at Dundalk.
Good enough to finish fourth to Kingston Hill in the 2013 Racing Post Trophy, he arrived with no win to his name in 12 previous attempts, despite a string of commendable efforts.
The 5-2 shot set out to make all and although his task was made easier by favourite Camakasi blowing the start, he showed excellent resolution to see off Akasaka by a length and a half.< Dalewari justified strong market support with a determined display in the www.dundalkstadium.com Nursery Handicap.
Backed in to 7-4 favouritism on his first venture outside of maiden company, Mick Halford's colt took a while to hit top gear when push came to shove but eventually wore down Family Pride and then proved three-quarters of a length too strong for the staying-on Tomorrow Morning
Experience told in the Dundalk Stadium & ndash; Light Up Your Night (C & G) Maiden as Indian Tomahawk held off all challengers.
Michael O'Callaghan's gelding looked a sitting duck at the top of straight but responded to all of Fergal Lynch's urgings to hold Charlie Bear a length and a half at bay.< Times In Anatefka backed up her recent maiden-breaker by successfully stepping up to six furlongs in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap.
The 4-1 chance tracked the pacesetting Cottrell who wouldn't go down without a fight, but Adrian Joyce's filly pulled out that little bit more to prevail by a short head.
Her jockey Chris Hayes followed up with another gritty victory on 4-1 joint-favourite Ned's Indian in the Crowne Plaza Jockey & Trainer Awards Handicap.
The Declan McDonogh-ridden Noverre Princess (10-1) was a long-standing maiden heading in to the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Handicap, but lacked nothing in the way of courage in the closing stages to pip Anner Queen by a nose.
