Review downpatrick 21st Sep
Willie Mullins sent just one runner up to Downpatrick, but that horse came away the winner of the Proctor & Gamble Maiden Hurdle.< Rockyaboya (7/2) was patiently ridden by Patrick Mullins, but just after favourite Earth Tremor took the lead at the top of the hill, Rockyaboya swept past to score by two and a half lengths.
Barry Geraghty notched his third winner for Tony Martin from just six rides this season when Golan Guy ran out a professional winner of the Moy Park Beginners Chase.
Always prominent under Geraghty, the 6/1 chance took the lead at the second last and though Definite All Star put up a real fight on the run-in, Golan Guy ran on strongly to score by seven and a half lengths.
Owner Sean Gallagher enjoyed a 1-3 in the Kerry Foods EBF Beginners Chase as the Gordon Elliott-trained Bacher Boy (7/1) ran out a bloodless winner under Paul Carberry, with 66/1 outsider Hidden Profit plugging on for third.
Finish of the day came in the Linden Foods Handicap Chase when Robertstown Rover (20/1) proved just the strongest under Niall Madden after four held chances jumping the last.< Teak showed tremendous battling qualities to make every yard of the running in the Tayto Maiden Hurdle.
Adrian Maguire's 3/1 favourite pulled clear approaching the final turn, but King Of Aran loomed large inside the final furlong.
He could not get on terms, though, as Teak kept finding more for the in-form Declan Bates, scoring by half a length.< Point The Toes finished strongly to deny Breeze With Ease and land the Allied Bakeries Handicap Hurdle.
Breeze With Ease had just got the better of a protracted battle with Claragh Native on the final bend when Brendan Fahey pushed Point The Toes (11/2) into a share of lead and he strode on well to win by two and a quarter lengths.
