Henry de Bromhead kept his local supporters happy when sending out Some Dove (7/1) to win the Assembly Tech Handicap Hurdle.
The five-year-old, a maiden winner at Kilbeggan in June and fourth in a Downpatrick handicap last weekend, made virtually all the running. She was strongly pressed by Anyonecanhaveitall at the last but found a bit more to see off that one by three parts of a length with the veteran Supreme Vinnie running on well to take third place, a further three and a half lengths away.
Winning rider Rachael Blackmore said: "She put up a great performance and jumped really well. She got caught in a bit of traffic the last day in Downpatrick so it was nice to get a clear run with her today and she galloped all the way to the line. It wasn't really the plan to make all but we just ended up there and she seemed happy there."
