Review curragh 12th Jul
< Sariska was simply astonishing in landing the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.
Michael Bell's filly was sent off the even-money favourite and travelled effortlessly in the heavy ground, with Jamie Spencer motionless on the turn for home.< Roses For The Lady was still in front at the furlong pole, but Spencer even had time to have a quick word with the pacesetter's rider Fran Berry before Sariska breezed to a Classic double in effortless fashion, coming home three lengths in front.< Walk On Bye showed a smart turn of foot to skip clear of her rivals in the Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes.
Tommy Stack's 7-4 favourite was held up well off the early pace in the Group Three contest, but quickly swooped down the outside to lead approaching the furlong pole.
Wayne Lordan just had to keep her up to her work to hold King Ledley a length and three quarters at bay.
Jim Bolger unleashed Teofilo and New Approach to win previous renewals of the Whitney Moore EBF Maiden but his debutant Reiteration had to settle for second behind Black Quartz
Aidan O'Brien's even-money favourite was able to dictate matters and after stretching clear two furlongs out under Johnny Murtagh, he hung on well to win by half a length.
Murtagh looked on course to land a quick double when shooting clear on Latin Love in the Listed Kilboy Estate Stakes, but was gunned down by She's Our Mark
Danny Grant conjured a real tune out of the 9-4 favourite, who finished with a wet sail to score by two lengths.
Mark Loughnane bagged the valuable Ladbrokes Rockingham Handicap when 9-1 chance Just For Mary took advantage of her featherweight to score under Rory Cleary, while Taralga (7/1) showed her rivals a clean pair of heels to land the Thalgo Ladies Derby Handicap under Adrienne Foley.
