Tony Martin's Edeymi (2-7 favourite) justified his skinny odds with a comfortable success, also in the hands of Walsh due to Davy Russell's suspension, in the opening Clonmel Maiden Hurdle.
The promising four-year-old was making it fourth time lucky over timber and came home three-and-a-quarter lengths to the good over Chasing Shadows < Stephanie Kate made every yard to claim the Munster Hurdle at odds of 2-1.
Back over the smaller obstacles after disappointing in a valuable handicap chase at Leopardstown, Charlie Swan's mare was allowed to dictate matters at the head of affairs.< Tofino Bay layed down a challenge turning in but David Casey kept his mount up to her work and she drew two lengths clear after the last.< Sumkindasuprstar returned to winning ways under Ben Dalton in the Lisronagh Novice Handicap Chase.
John Clifford's 7-1 chance saw off Code Of The West before holding rallying runner-up The Book Thief three parts of a length at bay.< Betterthanalright caused a 14-1 upset in the Demense Maiden Hurdle.
Trained by Liam Casey and ridden by Paddy Mangan, the six-year-old took up the running some five flights from the finish and kept up the gallop to hold Noble Pageant five lengths at bay.
Mr Eke struck for Timothy Doyle in the Kilsheelan Beginners Chase, while the concluding Suir (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle went the way of Leonard Whitmore's Red Memo who belied odds of 25-1 with a short-head defeat of Pretty Happy
