< Beyond The Law upset odds-on favourite Draconien to register an emphatic victory in the Munster Hurdle at Clonmel.
Draconien was a warm order after creating a striking impression on his jumping bow at this circuit last month but after making stealthy headway from towards the rear, he found little for pressure.
In contrast, Robbie Power dictated terms to suit himself on the Mouse Morris-trained Beyond The Law (7-1), and kept plenty up his sleeve for the business end because he strode away again in the straight to cross the line 22 lengths to the good.
Power was also on the mark courtesy of Moonshine Bay s victory in the Monroe Maiden Hurdle.
After settling just behind the leader on Jessica Harrington's 2-1 favourite, Power made his move a long way from home but his mount was up to the task as he pulled out more than Giant Spirit to triumph by six lengths.< Pietralunga left it really late but nailed Moonlight Escape on the line in the Kilsheelan Mares Maiden Hurdle.
Making her first start for Willie Mullins, as well as having her first crack at jumping, the French import looked booked for third at best over the last, but she sprouted wings and justified 10-11 favouritism by a short head.< Graineyhill won the Lisronagh Handicap Hurdle the way a 4-5 favourite should, while visibility was poor during the running of the Tipperary Handicap Hurdle, but Rock On Barney (8-1) emerged from the gloom to take the last in front and saw off Coole Craft by two and three-quarter lengths.
The fog continued to prove problematic and that was the last race able to be run, with the final couple of contests - the Jossesstown Handicap Chase and the Rathronan Maiden Hunters Chase - having to be abandoned.
