Review ballinrobe 30th May
Gordon Elliott's Bondage relished the return to Flat action with an easy win at Ballinrobe.
Sent off a 10-1 chance on the back of four moderate efforts over hurdles since the turn of the year, the four-year-old travelled sweetly for Emmet McNamara and burst into the lead on the turn for home.
His stamina really kicked in thereafter and he powered away to beat well-backed favourite Lucky Spring by four lengths.
Johnny Murtagh got a fine tune out of Adiynara in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
Michael Halford's filly was starting to look a little frustrating having been placed three times in her previous seven outings.
But Murtagh sent the 4-1 shot into a clear lead three furlongs from home and he kept enough in the tank to repel the strong challenge of Jouster holding on by a neck.
Odds-on favourite Malayan Mist maintained her unblemished record in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race.
Sent off the 5-6 market leader following her debut success at Gowran earlier in the month, Dermot Weld's daughter of Dansili didn't let down her supporters under Pat Smullen, beating Deire Na Sli by a length.< Loch Long galloped and jumped his rivals into submission in the Mulholland Bookmakers Maiden Hurdle.
Trained by Tracey Collins and ridden by Alan Crowe, the highly-tried son of Galileo built on his recent ecouraging Tipperary second with a four and a half-length defeat of the well-supported Glenstar
The Jessica Harrington-trained Magical Memoir stretched clear to land the Tipperary Water Hurdle, but not before Scottish Boogie had made him fight.
They looked to have it between them but the latter faded after the last, leaving Barry Geraghty's mount to go on and score by four lengths.
The Supermacs Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle went to Tony Martin's Uncle Taffy in the hands of Ruby Walsh.
