< Snap Alam just got the better of Kedleston to land the Flannery's Bistro Rated Race at Ballinrobe.
Settled in third in the early exchanges by Declan McDonogh, Joanna Morgan's 11/4 shot tracked Kedleston when that rival took up the running heading to the home bend.
The pair settled down to fight it out, and Snap Alam, who is in foal to Kalanisi, just had that bit more in the tank to register a half-length verdict.
Grade Two-winning hurdler Shadow Eile (15/8) made a successful start to her Flat career in the www.ballinroberacecourse.com Maiden.
Dot Love's Galway Hurdle entrant was sent about her business rounding the top turn by Joseph O'Brien, with market leader Dare To Doubt hot on her heels.
Willie Mullins' favourite could never quite get on terms, though, and Shadow Eile found plenty on her first start since April to cross the line with a length and three-quarters in hand.
Mullins had better luck when Dougal Philps proved a class apart from the opposition in the Craic On The Track 19th August Maiden.
Second on each of his two previous outings this season, the son of Echo Of Light was sent off the 4/6 favourite to go one better and duly obliged with the minimum of fuss, handing out a comprehensive beating to Jpevie
Dougal Philp's stable companion Chiltern Hills was fancied to do the business in the Mayo Advertiser Mares Maiden Hurdle but, not for the first time, she let down favourite-backers, only managing third behind Mulleady < Our Nana Rose transferred her excellent recent hurdling form to the level in the Paddy Smyth Memorial Apprentice Handicap.
Conor Hoban dictated terms to suit himself on the 5/2 favourite and although Everything Zain threw down a serious challenge in the short straight, Pat Martin's mare stuck her neck out well to prevail by three-quarters of a length.
