Zerashan scores for Halford
The Ashbourne Maiden saw nice recruit in the Michael Halford trained Zerashan when he ran out a convincing winner under Shane Foley.
Foley who carried the colours of the Aga Khan, took up the lead inside the final furlong and stayed on well under a strong drive for a length and a quarter win over 1/2 favourite Simkana
Winning trainer Halford said afterwards: “He’s a lovely big horse, he’s just taken his time.”
“He’s still a bit green, he has loads of scope and he loved that ground and came home well.”
“We’ll take our time with him and see how he progresses.”
