The Ado McGuinness trained Zebgrey got her nose in front for the second time in three recent runs when winning the Nathan Carter Apprentice Handicap at Leopardstown today.
Zebgrey was a half length winner at Navan on June 11 and today ‘bobbed’ her second winner, holding on for a nose win over Mr Ormsby
Afterwards McGuinness stated “we were going to go straight to Galway but I thought she ran very well last week when she was a bit keen.
“She takes time to pick up but gallops away and she'll run on the first night at Galway in the three-year-old handicap. The further she goes the better.
“She was very scatty last year but is after developing, growing and copping on.”
