Zanzibar wins his 9th race
Billy Lee got Strait Of Zanzibar (nearside) home by a nose from Aared (mostly hidden)

It was so difficult to call but the evidence of the camera said that Strait Of Zanzibar had got the win under Billy Lee in the www.dundalkstadium.com Rated Race. The well-backed Aared (7s into 4s) had to settle for second.
Just a nose split them after Ken Condon's Strait Of Zanzibar had made most to eventually get the better of the fast finishing Aared (not clear run two furlongs out) by the minimum margin.
"I was full sure that I was beaten," acknowledged Lee.
"He's a grand horse. Ken was very happy with him, and he showed plenty of spark on the way to the start. He likes to bowl along and he's tough," added Lee.
