Your Honor justified strong support when relishing the testing ground conditions to land the featured Quinnbet Handicap Hurdle at Limerick this afternoon.
The James Nash-trained gelding, successful twice on the Flat last year and also over hurdles earlier this year, was available at 12/1 this morning and further supported on track from 7/1 into 9/2 favourite for this Listed race.
Gavin Brouder elected to make all on the son of Lawman who kept on strongly from before the last to beat Luminous Light by five and a half lengths. Mercury Mission was a further six and a half lengths back in third.
Nash said, “He was so impressive here on similar ground (in March) and was then a bit disappointing over the summer.
“It was a fairly obvious race to come back here, and a super prize limited to four-year-olds. It’s great when it works out! I suppose he’ll have to go to one of the Festivals after that.
“He’s a fantastic jumper and obviously loves that ground. He’ll probably go chasing soon rather than later.”
