Youngdorogal wins for All-Star Carter
The Michael Fitzgerald trained Youngborogal landed the ISS Recruitment Mares Maiden Hurdle for winning owner and former Kilkenny hurler great Charlie Carter.
Youngborogal, 6/5 favourite, made all under Tommy Treacy for an easy 13 lengths win and Fitzgerald later reported "she was entitled to win this on ratings but it doesn´t always work out like that!"
He added "Tommy (Treacy, who was substituting for the injured Davy Russell) gave her an excellent ride and dictated at the right pace. We´ll see how she is and Galway is a small possibility."
Winning owner Carter himself won two All-Irelands with Kilkenny while also being nominated for three All-Stars.
