Successful earlier on Ocean Conquest Dylan Browne McMonagle rode his second winner of the afternoon on Star Galaxy (9/2) in the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
Making her handicap debut, the daughter of Sea The Stars sat second before being produced to lead a furlong and a half out and was ridden out to beat Angelic Appeal by a length and a quarter.
Off the track since being a beaten favourite at the Curragh on Guineas weekend, the winner, trained by Joseph O'Brien for Shapoor Mistry, was available at 9/1 this morning and went off 9/2.
She had finished fourth to subsequent Irish Oaks winner Savethelastdance at Leopardstown in April.
The winning rider commented: “She was always doing what she needed. I was burning up a bit of energy earlier but we went really slow. I got to dictate things and it was just a matter of getting her rowing off the bend.
“She’s a classy filly and has been running in very competitive maidens all along.
“Hopefully after getting her head in front she can continue to progress.”
