The 15/8 favourite Winner Takes Itall was cantering on the outside of hard-ridden rivals halfway down the straight in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice Handicap.
The Nathaniel gelding ran on to record a comfortable three and a half length success from Next in Line (20/1) with Dundory (3/1) back in third.
A winner over hurdles at Listowel last year, the 5-year-old broke his maiden on the Flat at Gowran in June and took full advantage of a drop in class here having contested premier handicaps on his most recent outings on the level.
Mikey Sheehy was on board the winner, just an hour after his older brother Danny had been on the scoresheet with 25/1 winner Indiana Grey
Brendan Powell, assistant to winning trainer Joseph O’Brien who was completing a quick double after Bluebeard’s Castle win in the preceding maiden, said: “It's nice to get his head in front. He (Mikey Sheehy) gave him a nice confident ride.
“He's usually better over further but they went hard in front. He was the best horse in a moderate race.”
