The 11/4 favourite Wild Shot landed the Tramore Amusement Park Handicap Hurdle under Shane Fitzgerald.
The latter took his time on the eight-year-old who motored home from two out to collar the front-running Tom McGreevy on the run-in.
Two lengths was the margin of victory with a further seven lengths back to Name Me Famous in third.
It was a second win over hurdles, to go with seven on the Flat, for John McConnell’s hardy performer.
Fitzgerald said afterwards:- “To be honest I wasn't really overly happy anywhere. He made a bad mistake at the last with a circuit to go and it just took a while to get him travelling.
“To be fair he dug deep and galloped the whole way to the line. I've had good luck with him and hopefully there are plenty more days to come out of him.”
