Wide berth proves winning formula again for Ferrybank

Billy Lee produced a carbon copy of the tactics that proved successful aboard Ferrybank here in January when justifying 9/4 favouritism in the Sky Bet Extra Places Every Day Handicap at Dundalk.
Trained by Ted Walsh for his wife Helen, the six-year-old gelding was kept wide from his outside draw and was ridden to lead on the stand side well over a furlong out.
He kept on well in the closing stages to beat Bungle Inthedesert by a length and a quarter with Tynamite a further half-a-length away in third.
Walsh said, "He just likes his own space, I loved seeing him drawn 15.
"I didn't realise last week, when he was drawn 15, that there was one drawn outside him. The horse on the outside of him went and then he locked on. He doesn't pick up when he locks on.
"He's a good old fun horse. He'll be kept going, he wants quick ground.
"Billy is a great fella to have on your side every day of the week."
