White Pepper (6/1) was always prominent under Conor McNamara and went right away from her rivals after the second-last to win the Renvyle House Hotel 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

The daughter of Fast Company, a winner on the level at Tramore in August and fifth on her first start over hurdles at Gowran, was allowed stride on in front on the final circuit and she opened up in the straight to beat the 11/8 favourite Iberique Du Seuil by thirteen lengths. Powerful Kieran (9/4) was a further two and three quarter lengths back in third place.

Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell said: "She learned a lot from the first day and, being by Fast Company, she was in her comfort zone on the bit of ease in the ground today.

"She jumped great and Conor gave her a grand confident ride and kept it simple enough.

"We'll look for a winners' of one and being a filly we could look for black-type along the way over jumps."
