Jessica Harrington's Whirling Dervish built on a promising debut third placing from Galway 12 days back to take the Athassel House Stud Irish EBF Maiden at Tipperary.
Colm O'Donoghue did the steering on the Camelot colt and he stretched away from Tashman inside the last for a six length success.
"He got a lovely education at Galway and is a beautiful relaxed horse and would be asleep in the stalls," said Mrs Harrington.
"Even though he (O'Donoghue) was niggling him turning in, it was only a matter of when he gave him a squeeze and he took off.
"He goes to the Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown next."
