Whatdoyousay made very post a winning one under a positive ride from Tom Doyle in the Horse And Jockey Handicap Chase.
The 12/1 chance had taken control before his nearest pursuer King Of Ardcarne (25/1) blundered at the last, and Doyle could afford to take things easy on the run-in as his mount came home seven and a half lengths clear of that rival. Paddy O Dee (12/1) was a further three quarters of a length away in third, while the 3/1 joint favourites The Book Thief and Sensational Sema were out of contention in the straight.
Winning trainer Oliver McKiernan said, “I thought he came out of his last run at Naas well enough, and he’s a real natural jumper. He’s had lots of problems and was off for three years after breaking down. It was a slow procedure to get him back.
“He’ll probably go to Leopardstown for another handicap in a few weeks. He’s an improving horse and is going the right way.”
