The Jim Bolger trained Club Wexford bridged a near four year gap between wins when landing the Family Fun Day May 21st Handicap at Limerick today, under a cool ride from jockey Ronan Whelan.
The son of Lawman, last successful in a Leopardstown in June 2013, was produced late by Whelan and in the end quickened well close home for a half length win over Fit For Function
Afterwards Whelan stated “he is the type of horse that everything needs to go right but it was only a matter of time before he won another race.
“I know him well and know his capabilities and it’s great for him to win again.”
