The Irish Daily Mirror (Mares) Novice Hurdle went to the ultra-consistent 11/8 favourite (from 5/2 in the morning) Getaway Gorgeous who took over from stablemate Bon Retour after the second last.
David Mullins had plenty of horse under him and was able to run her into the bottom of the last, after which she went away to beat The Sliding Rock (12/1) and Guinevere (10/1) by six lengths and four lengths.
Willie Mullins’ winning 6-year-old has never been out of the first two in nine starts, and this second win over hurdles was adding to a maiden hurdle win at Wexford and a bumper win last year at Tramore.
Winning rider David Mullins remarked: “She was good and a small field helps her a lot. She liked the nice ground and is getting the hang of jumping.
“She works very well at home from what I’ve seen although I’ve never rode her and she’s showing it now on the track.”
