The Jane Foley trained Chicago Fall (12/1) showed a nice turn of foot to win the Big Bad Bob Maiden at Dundalk this evening, in the process landing a minor gamble.
The daughter of Dark Angel had missed the break when seventh at Gowran in September and having initially opened up a 20/1 chance this morning, attracted support and was returned a 12/1 chance.
Five to six favourite McGuigan was in front with a furlong to race but Chicago Fall finished much stronger and recorded a length and a half win.
Afterwards winning jocket Gary Carroll stated "she's still a bit green and only got going at the furlong pole. She will improve over a mile."
