The Dermot Weld trained Sight Hound made it third time lucky in the www.listowelraces.ie Median Auction Maiden at Listowel today, improving on two previous runner-up efforts to win under Pat Smullen.
The son of English Channel raced prominently throughout, moved to the front two furlongs out before staying on well for a two lengths win over Avizare
Afterwards Smullen reported "he was entitled to win on his first two runs and he threw away the race at (Clonmel, on debut). He didn't get home the last day and it shows that a mile is his right trip."
