Conditions are sure to be testing at Clonmel this afternoon following over 5mm of rain this morning, although the weather has started to clear since mid-day.
The course is currently heavy but raceable and clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer is confident the meeting will go ahead as scheduled.
"It will be testing but the day is brightening up and the forecast is to clear up this afternoon," said Wyer.
The first on a seven-race card gets underway at 1.30pm, with the feature event being the Grade 3 Surehaul Mercedes Benz Novice Hurdle.
The Willie Mullins-trained Inish Island is currently trading as 11/10 favourite for the 2m6f event.
