Wandering Man finds his niche
Colm Murphy's well backed 7/4 favourite The Wandering Man landed the Portrait Gallery @ Kilfeacle Stud Maiden Hurdle (Division 1) at Tipperary this evening, providing jockey Sean Flanagan with his first winner of the new season.
The son of Beneficial chased the leaders, led from the third last and although the gelding jumped to the right at the final flight, held the strong challenge of Avoca King by a head.
Murphy was not present for The Wandering Man's win, his first since winning two bumpers in 2006.
