Walshs team up with Reveille
Royal Reveille made it three wins from his last four starts over hurdles when taking the two and three quarter miles Albany Hurdle in fine style for the father and son team of Ted and Ruby Walsh.
The six-year-old gelding was sent to the front soon after halfway, and those who backed him from 2/1 into 11/8 favourite had few worries as he galloped on strongly in the straight to beat Datokepe (4/1) by eight lengths. Lucy Stone who made the running until headed by the winner, kept on onepaced a further seven and a half lengths back in third.
Ted Walsh said, “His last run at Naas came just a bit quick after Galway. He travelled and jumped well, and if it stays dry he'll keep going for a while. He wants a trip.”
