Walsh on the mark at Bellewstown
Ruby Walsh, out of action for a couple of weeks through suspension, partnered his first winner in Ireland since he registered a Kilbeggan double on June 1st, when he gave Derrymore Dawn a well-judged ride to take the Bellewstown Golfcourse Handicap Hurdle by half a length.
This son of Rossini was bouncing back to form after disappointing 17 days back at Ballinrobe. On that occasion Willie Mullins´ four-year-old was backed from 6/1 into 3/1 but he finished tailed off in ninth. That day, his pilot, Davy Condon reported that his mount stopped for no apparent reason.
