Walsh guides Mama to Naas win
Amateur jockey Katie Walsh again demonstrated her ability in the saddle, when steering Hoochie Mama to win the Sallins Handicap Hurdle at Naas today, for trainer John Coleman.
Walsh moved the daughter of Even Top to lead before two out, and kept the blinkered seven year old mare up to her work before recording a length and a quarter win over Energiser
Coleman was represented by his assistant James Nash who reported “Hoochie Mama was over due that win! Even though she's a slow mare, she does appreciate better ground and will now run at the summer Festivals – she is also handicapped over fences.”
