Walsh doubles up on J P's Shot
Mark Walsh, successful in the opener on Life Of Reilly again carried the colours of J P McManus to success when getting up close home on Take A Shot in division one of the Monard Handicap Hurdle.
The Francis Flood-trained 7/1 chance came from off the pace, and was galvanised by Walsh on the run-in to collar the always prominent Fair Dilemma (14/1) by a neck in the closing stages.
The 7/2 favourite Elcanos was a further four and a half lengths back in third, with Lucky Dolphin (10/1) fourth.
Francis Flood junior said: “He had to fight quite hard for that, and will go for something similar.”
